Doctors Administrative Solutions acquires Spectra Healthcare’s RCM business portfolio, further expanding its Medical Billing and Consulting Services

TAMPA, Fla. – October 2, 2015 – In line with the healthcare industry’s transition to the ICD-10 coding system, Doctors Administrative Solutions (DAS) today announced that it has acquired the revenue cycle management (RCM) business of Spectra Healthcare. Based in Tampa Bay, Spectra has operated in the medical billing and healthcare space for over 14 years.

This marks the second recent acquisition for DAS, and brings the organization’s RCM book of business to over $100 million in annual medical billing.

The purchase will allow for the expansion of DAS’ various revenue cycle offerings, including workflow design and review, RCM consulting, and providing various levels of RCM billing relationships that allow physician practices and medical groups to customize levels of claim submission, accounts receivable and financial reporting assistance to their unique needs.

“Our recent move into our downtown Tampa headquarters is allowing us to welcome strong talent and additional infrastructure through this acquisition,” added President and CEO David Schlaifer. “We’ve enjoyed a tremendous relationship with Spectra over the years and are excited about the enhanced products and services we’ll be able to deliver to our clients. We look forward to continuing to grow physicians’ bottom lines in a bigger, more powerful way.”

Doctors Administrative Solutions is expecting to continue its record triple digit growth through organic expansion into new markets, key acquisitions in the RCM and EHR reseller market, and the introduction of new products and services.
