TAMPA — DAS Health, a fast-growing health care IT management firm, has acquired Las Vegas-based Integra I.T. Solutions.
Terms of the deal weren’t disclosed.
The acquisition — DAS Health’s fifth in less than three years — broadens the firm’s electronic health record services and technology offerings, while enhancing customer support and care, according to a statement. The expanded company now serves nearly 2,000 clinicians and more than 600 practices nationwide.
Integra, the release adds, handles and supports several software platforms that expand DAS Health’s portfolio, including eMDs Plus, Lytec, Practice Partner and Medisoft EHR and PM platforms. “Together with Integra’s suite of services, DAS Health will now be able to share new benefits and better serve both our existing and new clients,” DAS Health President and CEO David Schlaifer says in a statement. “This acquisition marks an exciting phase of DAS’ continued rapid growth and ability to help independent physicians prosper in an evolving industry.”
DAS Health was founded in 2003. It had $11.9 million in revenue in 2016.
DAS Health says its latest acquisition will help a shrinking pool of independent physicians continue to practice on their own.
DAS, a health technology company based in Tampa, bought Integra I.T. Solutions in Las Vegas, in a deal that DAS said broadens its electronic health record services and technology products, while also enhancing customer support and care. The deal was announced Tuesday; financial terms were not disclosed.
The expanded company now serves nearly 2,000 clinicians and more than 600 practices nationwide, with a focus on independent physician groups, hospital and health care systems across North America.
“As a one-stop shop we can help them to remain successful and independent,” said Tori Couch, marketing manager.
The number of independent physicians has been falling. A study last year by the American Medical Association found that fewer than half of practicing physicians in the United States owned their medical practice. Maintaining the necessary information technology and quality and safety compliance often requires a larger asset base to spread cost, Modern Healthcare reported.
Still, independent physicians possess stronger incentives than hospital-employed physicians to prevent hospitalizations, Becker’s Hospital Review said, citing a 2016 Harvard Medical study.
“This acquisition marks an exciting phase of DAS’ continued rapid growth and ability to help independent physicians prosper in an evolving industry,” said David Schlaifer, DAS Health president and CEO.
Integra I.T. Solutions is the fifth acquisition in less than three years by DAS, which has more than doubled in size in that time, and had just under $12 million in revenue in 2016.
DAS’ growth helps reinforce Tampa as a technology hub, Couch said. “We are now better able to represent Tampa on the national stage,” she said.
DAS also has been adding jobs. The company said it planned to add up to 30 new jobs by the end of this year, when it won $90,000 in state and local tax incentives under the Qualified Target Industries tax refunding program.
Integra I.T. Solutions is the second Las Vegas company DAS has bought. DAS bought Falcon Healthcare Systems in 2016. The company plans to retain the I.T. Solutions office as the hub of its consolidated West Coast operations.
TAMPA, Fla. – January 2, 2018 – Unified by a passion for helping independent physicians thrive, DAS Health has acquired Las Vegas-based Integra I.T. Solutions, an eMDs electronic health record Platinum reseller and IT services provider. The acquisition – DAS Health’s fifth in less than three years – broadens DAS Health’s electronic health record (EHR) services and technology solutions while enhancing customer support and care.
Already a leader in patient-centric health IT and management services and the largest national reseller of Aprima® Medical Software, DAS Health (DAS) will now sell and support eMDs Plus™, Lytec™, Practice Partner™, and Medisoft™ EHR and PM platforms. DAS continues to also offer cloud hosting, managed IT, VOIP, Security Risk Assessments, MIPS/MACRA reporting & consulting, as well as additional patient-centered and revenue generating services including assessURhealth™ mental & behavioral health screenings, chronic care management, and revenue cycle management (RCM) medical billing solutions.
“Together with Integra’s suite of services, DAS Health will now be able to share new benefits and better serve both our existing and new clients,” David Schlaifer, DAS Health President and CEO, stated. “This acquisition marks an exciting phase of DAS’ continued rapid growth and ability to help independent physicians prosper in an evolving industry.”
“Joining the DAS Health brand allows us to expand and enhance our existing services, raising the bar as a business partner and healthcare solutions provider,” Deepak Shroff, Managing Partner of Integra I.T. Solutions, who will be staying on through the acquisition. “I know that our clients are in good hands, with top of the line support from a recognized expert in the industry.”
The expanded company now serves nearly 2,000 clinicians and more than 600 practices nationwide. DAS plans to integrate Integra employees into its overall team, further expanding the company’s skill sets and talent pool. DAS will maintain its national headquarters in Tampa, FL, and expects to merge its existing west coast operations into Integra’s Las Vegas, NV office.

TAMPA, Fla. – DAS Health, a Tampa-based health IT and management services provider, has been named to the Tampa Bay Business Journal Fast 50 for the eighth year in a row. The Fast 50 list represents the fastest growing companies in the Tampa Bay area. DAS Health is the only company to make the list for eight consecutive years, ranked number 19 for the most current year.
“Making the Tampa Bay Business Journal Fast 50 list is a noteworthy achievement; remaining on this list for eight consecutive years, however, is truly a remarkable accomplishment,” said David Schlaifer, President and CEO of DAS Health. “It is only because of our people and our passion for providing true client solutions and unparalleled service that we have achieved this kind of consistent growth and innovation, during both good and tough times.”
The list features only the fastest growing companies in Tampa Bay, ranked by percentage growth from 2014 to 2016, and represents the best in a wide range of industries. DAS Health first made the list in 2009, and has remained an honoree through continued, exponential company growth.
The Fast 50 awards were created to shine the spotlight on local companies that are undergoing explosive revenue growth.
Companies on the List are privately held, for-profit companies headquartered in the Tampa Bay area. They all experienced three consecutive years of revenue growth, and had a minimum revenue of $1 million in 2014 or $5 million in 2016.
The Tampa Bay Business Journal honored the Fast 50 at a luncheon on Thursday at the Bryan Glazer JCC in Tampa.
This year’s List represents a wide variety of industries, from a craft brewery to general contractors to health care staffing. The companies on this year’s List had a combined 2016 revenue of $2.2 billion and employ 4,457 people in the Tampa Bay area.
While just over half of the companies on the List were founded within the last 10 years, some have been operating in the Tampa Bay area for decades. The oldest, Environmental Pest Services, was founded in 1958, followed by Power DesignInc., which was founded in 1989. Power Design is also the largest company on the List, with 2016 revenues of just under $400 million.
DAS Health is one of two companies that have appeared on the Fast 50 for eight of the last 10 years. For DAS Health, 2017 represents the eighth consecutive year on the List. DAS Health’s revenues have grown from $500,000 in 2008 to $11.97 million in 2016.
The other company, AgileThought, appeared on the List starting in 2008, but was not included in 2011 or 2012. With the exception of a drop in 2010, AgileThought has grown its revenue every year dating as far back as 2005. During that time, the company grew from approximately $1 million in revenue to over $35 million in 2016.
