DAS Health Acquires Integra to Strengthen Healthcare IT Offering

TAMPA, Fla., Jan. 4, 2018 – The global appetite for mergers and acquisitions among professional services firms in the health sector has continued into 2018, with the purchase of Integra IT Solutions by DAS Health. The Las Vegas-based Integra is DAS Health’s fifth acquisition in recent years, as the firm bids to expand in anticipation of uncertainty in the healthcare segment.

Thanks to its aggressive campaign of acquisitions which has seen DAS bolt on five firms in less than three years, the company is already a leader in patient-centric health IT and management services and the largest national reseller of medical software. The firm additionally offers cloud hosting, managed IT, Security Risk Assessments, and MIPS/MACRA consulting, and medical billing solutions, among other services.

Technology is increasingly being viewed as a key asset in alleviating the increasingly strained healthcare systems of the Western world, with ageing populations meaning that time and resources must be better managed. Meanwhile, health insurance premiums are continuing to rise globally, making the health consulting segment particularly lucrative at present.DAS Health acquires Integra to strengthen healthcare IT offeringSubsequently, competition has become heated in the sector over the previous year in particular, as a number of consultancies participate in an arms race of sorts to best tap into the health market. In 2017, this saw Atos acquire three firms in the healthcare space, while the Advisory Board cashed in on its health education arms in a $26 billion sale.

Las Vegas-based Integra I.T. Solutions, an IT services provider, will further broaden DAS Health’s electronic health record services, and technology solutions while enhancing customer support and care. DAS plans to integrate Integra employees into its overall team, further expanding the company’s skill sets and talent pool. DAS will maintain its national headquarters in Tampa, Florida, and expects to merge its existing west coast operations into Integra’s Las Vegas office, in Nevada. The expanded company will now serve nearly 2,000 clinicians and more than 600 practices nationwide.

“Together with Integra’s suite of services, DAS Health will now be able to share new benefits and better serve both our existing and new clients,” David Schlaifer, DAS Health President and CEO, stated. “This acquisition marks an exciting phase of DAS’ continued rapid growth and ability to help independent physicians prosper in an evolving industry.”

Deepak Shroff, Managing Partner of Integra I.T. Solutions, who will be remaining in his position throughout the acquisition, added, “Joining the DAS Health brand allows us to expand and enhance our existing services, raising the bar as a business partner and healthcare solutions provider. I know that our clients are in good hands, with top of the line support from a recognized expert in the industry.”
