In 2001, less than 20% of office-based physicians used an electronic health record (EHR) system. In just over 10 years,  more than 70% were using new EHR systems on a daily basis. The number now is even higher, thanks in part to EHR incentive payments.

Almost all practices now have an EHR system. But how do you know if you have the right EHR? Having an EHR system in and of itself is a good start, but having the right system can take your practice to the next level. Review these important functions to learn if it’s time to switch to a new EHR.
